As Project Leader Airports, you join our team of experts to lead and manage the design and development of airport projects ensuring they meet the highest standards and expectations.

Within our projects, you will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to understand their needs and to get to the heart of their requirements. You’ll be responsible for developing the right solution, not just any solution – even if that means trying something new and resisting well-trodden paths.

Profile

As Project Leader Airports you are responsible for managing/leading airport development and consultancy projects (or subparts of it) that help our airport clients make sound decisions on their future development. You hold the overview of the progress and development of the project as a whole. Projects that you lead can comprise of:

  • Regional mobility & accessibility studies.

  • Air traffic-demand studies.

  • Feasibility and sustainability studies;.

  • Masterplanning studies;.

  • Asset optimization and airport transformation strategies.

  • Terminal and infrastructure development studies.

Projects can be of any scale; regional & spatial planning, building or infrastructural development, and interior flow & process design.

Job requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in architecture or civil engineering, preferably in transportation and building industry related studies.

  • Affinity to aviation. A focus on and commitment to future airport development respectively transformation.

  • Five to ten years of experience with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.

  • Knowledge of the industry standards and regulations.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills (including good presentation and storytelling skills).

  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to achieve goals.

  • A passion for creativity, digitalization, and sustainability.

  • Willingness to travel.

  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and with an entrepreneurial attitude.

  • You are a team player and have strong communication skills in English, as well as in German or Dutch.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project guidance internally (to planeground team) and externally (to the customer) defining, pursuing, and achieving respective project and study goals.

  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and successful delivery.

  • Steer and execute relevant analysis/planning work for the successful project progression & finalization.

  • Analysis of client & user requirements.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior architects and other team members.

  • Elaboration and implementation of new (sustainability/innovation driven) methodologies for airport development decision making.
